Orange-ology: the concept that when the church and family partner, kids learn, families grow and lives are changed. The combined influence of the love of the family and the light of the church can be world-changing but requires strategy. That's why at WCC, we don't use curriculum, we have a strategy that takes a child from birth through graduation. Curriculum provides information but a strategy engages kids in applying and experiencing what they learn. We don't want to encourage kids to come to church just to take in information but to apply truths so they can go out and be the church.
Children are grouped by age at the Kids Rock Church to maximize the learning experience. From birth, kids at WCC can experience the love of Christ in the nursery, advancing to the toddler room once walking. At age 4, we begin introducing kids to awesome lesson plans that include video and fun crafts and games.
Once kids reach 1st grade, it's off to 252 Basics where a fun environment with music, light shows, activities and small groups is the platform for learning and building on the three basic truths taught. From here, kids move on to The Loft for CLUB 56 – THE place to be on Sunday mornings if you are a 5th or 6th grader.
At the Kids Rock Church, the message is always fun, practical and exciting. Forget about the days of dragging your kids to church. After a Sunday at the Kids Rock Café, your kids will beat you to the car!
