To update you on the Covenant church in La Villa, Texas which suffered major damage, and  that WCC is reaching out to help . . .

 

Additional inspections have been completed and the pastor has now been advised of additional major structural damage.  The Pastor is considering tearing down the existing church and starting a new.  It hasn't been determined if they will build in the same location, or try to relocate.  If that decision has not been finalized by our planned September 13 - 20 outreach trip, we will help rebuild homes of church members in La Villa. 

 

YOUR HELP IS DESPERATELY NEEDED!  Talk to friends, family, co-workers to see if there are any additional volunteers out there.  A WCC presence, working, sharing God's love and concern for those who have lost everything, or nearly everything, will lift and encourage them tremendously, far more than we can physically help!  Please pray for this congregation, Pastor Serrano, and WCC's volunteers.

 

As you make a decision one way or the other, please keep me advised whether or not you will be able to make the September 13-20 trip.  Alternate date is October 25 to November 1st.  If the October date works, but September does not, let me know.
