What is a Rock Group? A rock group is a small group of people who get together to support each other in our attempts to become more like Jesus in our thoughts and actions. We do that by studying the Bible, being in community together, and doing service projects together.
This fall, we want to have 700 adults in Rock Groups.
- Most Rock Groups are doing a 7-week study called "Xperience It!". It's based on an older study called Experiencing God. The study will help you learn to hear when God is speaking to you. Find out where God is working and join Him. Experience God working through you!
- We have many groups that meet in homes. However, during this 7-week study, we will have groups at WCC on Tuesday nights. We'll set up round tables, watch the DVD teaching, and then go over several discussion questions.
- This will be a great opportunity...especially if you've never attended a group...for you to meet people and grow in your faith. Give it a try for 7 weeks!
WHY ROCK GROUPS? Because life's too hard to do alone.
Life is tough. It’s too hard to do it alone. Yet, in our culture we tend to try to go it alone. Even people that come to church at WCC can be in a large gathering on Sunday, yet just blend in and not connect with anyone. Don’t do it. Even the Lone Ranger had Tonto.
At WCC, we probably have a group for you. Small groups make a big place seem small. We offer a variety of different groups for a variety of interests such as how to grow in my relationship with God, marriage, parenting, single life, sports, support groups, biker groups, outdoor groups, and more! We call our small groups ROCK GROUPS because after all, we are The Flock that ROCKS! Some groups meet weekly, while other groups may meet twice a month!
Quit doing life alone. God created within you a desire to connect with other people… people just like you who are on a journey. Not perfect people, but people who want to find God’s purpose in their lives. The most effective environment for life change is a small group. ROCK GROUPS allow members to connect on a personal basis with others to grow spirtually and serve faithfully together.
